Elizabeth's Story

This is Elizabeth. She is a little wild because my husband won't have her in the house, A lot of people are a bit funny about having animals in the house here in Italy. In fact if you look at her ears you can see little tufts growing. She has the loveliest slanting green eyes and her fur is thick white and soft. She is an excellent huntress but doesn't seem to go too much for birds, Thank Goodness!
Elizabeth was found in a water cistern when she was about two months old. There was water in the bottom of it and she'd been in there for days before we actually found her on the next door allotment. We heard the mewings but we didn't know from where they were coming. It's true she wouldn't have died of thirst but she couldn't sleep because she would have drowned,. It's a real mystery how she got in there in the first place. I'm so glad we found her.
